Kilo2_tango2, You walked into this one!!! Let's cheer everybody up with a few laughs first. "where do I start looking??? Maybe in your pocket for lots of 10s & 20s. You will need them to do a swapout for a refurbished unit from SHARP, IF???? they even have a swapout program. "so psu probably ok" Well, maybe yes, maybe no. Is this psu a little black box that lays on floor, or are you refering to a internal to the monitor "switch-mode-power-supply" unit? By the way, you didn't even calculate for us the approximate number of "on" hours this unit has!! Ahh...Yes! You did type "display blank"!! I will assume that it is or was connected to a PC capable of displaying the WIN-desktop screen?? If such was the case, did you even do the "flashlight" test to see if the data made it to the screen? even if the CCFT's aren't lit up BRIGHT-WHITE on rear of LCD panel? Due to a INVERTER BOARD failure to supply 800-1200 v ac to light up the CCFT's. Well, k2t2 I hope some of this was helpful. Got to run now! I'm louie12fix on fixya or lmistyrel@aim get back to me if any of this made sense..

Model S400CA-CA006H, Power ON, only back lit blank display. Battery icon is green while the BULB icon LED is orange in colour.

  • rjsymmes has the most accurate solution. Start with a battery replacement. Next course of action is to use a Bootable Media Source (Windows Disk or Recovery Disk) to see if the laptop responds and can have the Start Up repaired. If a Boot Media fails, then examine RAM, Hard Drive removal, then boot. Last resort Motherboard.

Won't turn on

The first thing I would check would be the power supply.

Today I received a faulty Monitor Dell E773c, the problem is that the Monitor get On and the power LED is Green and after remove VGA Cable from CPU it get Orange, But no Display (The Screen is Blank)

To get monitor work for you, you should connect the VGA cable to CPU. When you remove the VGA cable, monitor has got nothing to display so it goes in stand by mode with orange LED on.

The screen goes blank after 1 second display, flicks back again to the display for 1 second and back to blank, this goes on non stop. The little led next to the on/off button goes from green to yellow...

pandres, Your monitor will need troubleshooting to find out reason why the 2 "cold-cathode-fluorescent-lamps" fail to remain lighted. They provide "white light" so you can see what is on the lcd panel. Connect a "known good" monitor to your pc to prove monitor is bad. If pc is ok, then your monitor will need repair. This type problem not new and is very common for all brands of ccfl back-lit lcd monitors. Watch some video clips at YOUTUBE that show disassembly and repair of ccfl lcd monitors. Screen Goes Blank

Ive seen this on other monitors. Look for a 1 and 2. Some monitors do NOT auto detect a signal, and this one might not. Look for a way to set the monitor from Digital input to VGA input. Try that and see.

LED light is orange but computer is on.

it sounds like you may have overloaded the PSU, best thing to try would be to take out the dvd burner and and try booting again, if this doesn;t have any affect it may mean you need a new psu (power supply).

Monitor Display Problem.

Like most of these LCD monitors it is more than likely a PSU problem to do with the Electrolytic Capacitors, These in all probability will be faulty.. there are usually about 4 - 6 from 1000uF to 100uF replace ALL with same or better.
