I had successful installed the LG PC Suite on my laptop and had previously used the suite to transfer photos.
Now I need to use the PC Suite again but, although it is reflected as my connection is successful, but when i click on content mamager, it shows that I "Fail to connect to the mobile handset, Pls check COM port and connect in idle screen. Due to malfunction, despite idle screen, it can be failed to connect."
Pls help.
Hi 1st of all, reinstall the LG Pcsuite software, once that is done, you will see that a usb modem driver is also installed at the end of the process of installing the LG Pcsuite.
If you disconnect the usb cable from your mobile, then..
on your mobile go into the menu, then phone settings, then connectivity, there you will see USB connection mode.
If you click on USB connection mode you will see 3 options..
Data service, if selected tells your mobile to act as a modem when attached to your computer\
Mass Storage, if you select this option and then plug your usb cable back into your mobile, your computer will then discover your mobile phone as an external hard drive that will show up within Windows "My Computer", you are then able to browse your SD Micro memory card as an external hard drive and copy your files to your computer as simply as from one drive to another.
Remember if you want to use your phone again as a modem to go back to the USB connection mode menu and reselect Data Service.
