Your GPU gets hot, because when u start the console it gets hot, nd when u start a game it becomes hotter, when the system detects that ur GPU is hot it shuts down Automatically, the cause of this problem is common, you need to replace the GPU's thermal compound nd try to find the The Arctic Silver one, it's the best.. GOOD LUCK

you could run a memory test "mamtest86", you could start removing unnecesarry pherephials and cards (who needs a telephone momem anymore?) and disabling devices in your bios, and you could test your power supply.

You haven't mentioned if it turns off abruptly or shuts down telling you that the PC is shutting down.

- When your PC turns off abruptly, its mostly the CPU which heats up. The reason may vary from the CPU fan stopped working to CPU gone bad.

- If its a proper shutdown, most probably there is a virus on the PC.

sounds like u might have a frayed or a loose wire from switch
only a suggeton

mine was doing the exact same thing and when I took it to get fixed they said it would be cheaper to buy a new one

I would check the iac(idle air control valve) first it controls the idle, and then if it is still acting up you may have to change the crank/cam position sensor

If you have recently fitted new hardware. Take it out.
If not, buy a power surge protector from your local pc store

It sounds that you might having problem with your power supply unit, try replacing it with another working one. Problems like this one can be caused by defective power supply unit.

you mention that the power just dies,there is a fault with the Acer aspire 5630,when i opened up the system,i noticed that the dc port at the back of the system was a little loose,the terminals were loose,and it was not charging or powering up,the reason why this is happening on most laptops is because the dc jack that plugs into the dc port on your laptop is heavy,and it tugs at the port,if they made the jacks lighter for the ports,it would not be a problem,i have hard wired a mobile pord and took out the old one and fixed the problem,the problem i find with manufacturers is that they dont design laptops that well,the design them to break down,so people like me are always finding new ways to make them function longer,get some one to have a look at it,it could be that,maybe you have a old batery?
