How do you fix a dvd player to record - Philips Magnavox DVD/VCR Dual Player

,THATS GOOD NEWS. cheers,,. u don't mention what recorder u r using when u put the tdk-R IN,,, DOES IT TELL U TO format the disc ???????? if it does and u don't format it will not record on disc Hi again if u wa?t to use RW rewritable disc's then u don't have to finalize them to play on other DVD players u can buy rw disc's on ON. E/EBAY Cheers.,..,..,...., try another brand of disc like TDK .THEY R GOOD ..when u have recorded a movie go into youre menu and find FINALIZE ..when u have finalized the disc it will play on most dvd players good luck

This just a plain DVD player?Not worth fixing,plain DVD player u could buy it new around $50 dollars.Buying parts and put times in fixing the old one proper cost more than the thing worth.

Unless you posted this question in the wrong category, you can't use the Sansui VRDVD4000 to record to DVD. It is a DVD player only, not a DVD burner. It will play and record VHS tapes, but with DVDs it will only play them.

To record to a DVD, you would need a DVD burner. Many modern computers include a DVD burner, so maybe either your computer or someone you know's computer has a DVD burner.

no this is done on purpose to prevent piracy. this is so that you cannot create dvd's and sell them to people. unfortunately there is no way around this unless you buy an unbranded dvd recorder which may not have the copyright protection.

You must have a dvd rom. And install k-lite codec pack. this should do it.

try playing on computer. if ok copy on hard drive and burn it. if it wont work on your computer. there was an error in the making of the disk..

I called the manufacturer. They admitted to improper instructions. They provided me a fix to their copying protocol and it worked. Also, they game me instructions on how to fix already copied tapes. It works well and I would have to say I was impressed with their customer/technical service.

Somtimes if you change brands of dvds will help!

my suggestion from reading other forums is that these players sometimes have problems finalizing the disc.. you could try making a copy of the disc in a computer to see if this fixes the promlem or maybe media these use dvd+r and has a lot of compatibility issues with dvd players.
