Have phoned local repair shops and one has said the invertor is the problem and he other said its is the psu. All want at least £100 labour plus parts. I have taken the back off and and removed the psu. Going to replace it myself. my samsung tv model number is sp50L7hx it's 6 years old, when I turn it on it's a not really nice picture just nice sound, after 2 hours the picture is off just sound .... after I was switch off TV and switch on again ... the picture is very bad and just for a ten-twenty minutes ... what's is the problem? I'm never change the lump ... or is it a some problem with T-Con decoders board or is it a lump?
Hmm my dad's old t.v. just cut out on him it took awile to turn on this my be the end of ur tv so this might be a power problem but older t.v. loose there colour on the screen my uncle had a like 10-15 year old t.v the screen was like green when it was light but when u turned of the light or closed the blind's it's picture was ok so try that.
capactors are failing will not turn on at all soon and the light will flash
replace capactors on mains power board easy to do if got soildering iron look for raised tops on capactors ( they look like little battries with line down and numbers on (e.g 20000mf 25v) there is 3-4 that will need changing close together
replace with some value and make sure the line is on same side as ones that you take out TAKE PICTURE FIRST and replace one at once
