After installing the C6100 drivers for the HP Photosmart on the HP Pavillsion ZV6000, the wireless no long gains an IP address. Tried removing drivers, re-installing wireless network drivers, and a whole slew of things from HP's online chat: * resetting bios * resetting tcp/ip * etc
Why the heck would two HP products be so destructive to each other? My mind is boggled. Any thoughts on restoring the wireless network capability to the laptop? Right now it detects the access point, but fails to gain an IP address (settings are correct).
I really wish HP would just admit that this is a problem and fix it. (I ruined a second zv6000 a few hours later with the same process of installing those drivers).

Try installing the latest wireless card driver. You can download the wireless and device drivers from the Compaq/HP WEBsupport/download page. Make sure you select your model laptop and the Windowsdrivers you require and install them. Click on this link to download thedrivers: - http://welcome.hp.com/country/au/en/cs/support.html
The HP All in Ones require that you install and run the suite of software to set up computer scanning On my all in one, the message says, you must install the drivers to do this. The suite of software is on the CD. It is also available through HP.com
Make sure you download the full software suite from their website or your CD.
You can turn the wireless on from the control panel. In control panel you will find HP wireless assistant with which you can turn on the wireless. However, the issue could be with the wireless driver or quick launch buttons.I will provide you the drivers for the notebook zv6000. Download and install them on the notebook.
HP Quick Launch Buttons
Go out to hp.com support and check under updates and downloads, you should find the updated software and drivers you need. I just went through this with my photosmart 8750,.
I had a similar problem recently... You have to actually install the scanner software. You probably only installed the print drivers, but not the scanner software. If you don't have the CD handy, go to www.hp.com/#Support. In step one select "Download drivers and software (and firmware)". In step 2 enter your model number (photosmart C4385) and then press "go". It will lead you to a page to select your operating system. Follow that link to download the entire CD (large file).
When you are installing the software, make sure to install the scanner software too.
