I got the software loaded onto computer and photos on to the keychain and the keychain is fully charged (light is green on top) but when disconnected from the computer the keychain will not turn on
Regarding it not working once it's disconnected from the computer.... I called tech support and they said it's a bad battery/faulty charger since I had let it charge for 7 hours and did everything else suggested, so I took it back to the store, exchanged it for another one and it works fine. So if this is a problem, and you did everything else correct, it is probably a bad one, go try another and if a 2nd one doesn't work, I would forget it. I wouldn't have tried a 3rd time. I guess it's a common problem.
I loaded the software and it wont load anypictures i click the documents file and my pictures and my files dont show up..
any suggestions?

I got a great deal on this keychain on black Friday-9.99. I only got 3 of them and the told some family members what I had gotten for other people and they said "I want one of those" so I went back and now they are 20.00. I pre-loaded them with pictures for my less technical family members. When I read the reviews here I got worried seeing all the horor stories of software problems, but be patient. You have to load the cd first! The unit will not load automatically. Once you load the software, open the program and hook up the keychain to the usb (make sure to select "update" on the unit). The sofware is easy and the great thing is it shows you the crop so you know how it will look on the keychain and you can change the cop as well. The other thing is the software even works with Vista...nothing works with Vista!
The only I guess "compliant" and the reason I gave a 4 and not a 5 is that there is no adjustment for brightness. Aside from that, the quality of the pictures is much better than I expected. I love the keychain and wish I got more!

I had the same problem after following the directions, downloading the program off of the disk, downloading the program suggested on the below posts. It's a cool little device, but I give up It was a nice gift, but I'm returning it.

Everything works as advertised with the software and interface and with the unit plugged into the computer, the light shines green. I charged it for three hours anyway and the light remained green. When unplugged, the unit will not turn on. I took the back plate off and found the battery pack to be in its place and secure. Good thing it was cheep!
ok, so my mom got me and my grandpa the same keychain photo viewer thing, and at my house it works perfectly fine, but with grandpas it will not even turn on, i even went through back files to load pictures on but theres no way to even view them. i dont know what time eastern is compared to pacific, so i have no clue when to call tech support.. any advice?

Installed software on my computer, downloaded pictures onto the key chain. charged key chain with green light on. Unplugged, unit will not turn on. Will display pictures as long as it is plugged into a power source.
