I bought a used dryer (model # fde336res2, serial # xd01501804)The dryer works, needs a knob but it also eats my clothes. It seems to be a problem between the barrel and the front panel. The clothes get stuck in the space and therefore gets torn and discolored. I bought this same brand several years ago brand new and it did the same thing.after about 4yrs. Is there something that can be doen to fix this?

Your problem could be caused by a bad felt seal..the drum rotates against this seal. The purpose of the seal is to seal the hot air from going out of the drum and into the room.
Remove the front of the dryer and this should expose the drum and felt seal.

Frideraire dryer model fde336res2 won't eat. The

Take a look at #36 in the breakdown I have attached. This part is called a thermal limiter and blows if the heat is restricted in any way to cause the dryer to get too hot. You need to make sure that you don't have a lint buildup around the motor and in your vent hose. The part number for this part is 530320912. Hope this helps.250

Frigidaire FDE336RES2 Dryer marking Clothes

Excessive lint on or near the heater coils will send smoldering lint onto the clothes. Use a flash light and go inside the drum to see the heating coils or lifting the top up who should be able to see the lint build-up on the coils. These need to be cleaned.

My frigidaire heavy duty dryer model number FDE336RES2, starts to squeak once it turns on. It will continue to do this until it warms up then it stops. How do I fix this?

All dryers have to have a way of allowing the tumbler (that's the thing you put the clothes in) to turn freely, not all of them are the same tho, some use bearings, some use slides, others use rollers. Over time these rollers will need to be oiled, the slides will get thin and start metal to metal contact causing a noise, The rear bearings will then start to make their way to china and cause the tumbler to rub into the heating element and OUCH! These things will cause the motor to prematurely DIE! Its best to examine the dryers, rollers, and slides when you first hear the noise, but who does? SOME PICTURES

GE Dryer bought 08/08/07 First it stop bewfore cloths were finished, if I hit start button it would finish, now it will not start.

The dryer knob on timer was cracked, when removed, therefore it was not actually engaging the
timer proper. Replsaced knob now it is fine.

Loud thumping noise in Frigidaire model # FDE336RES2

You have to remove the top lid. Then remove the front panel. Then remove the belt and drum.
Your problem is a bad rear drum support assembly.
Remember to unplug the dryer.
