Hello,
You will have to download a software and install it so that your sound device can work.
Try this link directly to the manufacturer's website:
GA-81915P Duo Pro

Download the Microsoft UAA (Universal Audio Architecture) Bus driver (Full Multi-language version ) first and install it. Then download the C-Media Function driver for Intel 925/915 family.

Good Luck to you!

It won't extract m cd. it just says scanning for devices and nothing happens

For stuck CD do this:

Hit Ctrl,Alt and Delete all at the same time> Windows Task Manager should open> Click on the "Applications Tab"> Click End Task to close all Apps.> Now go to your Cd/Dvd player hit the eject button on the front.> Remove CD.

Now for your device problem try this:

To specify your preferred audio devices for playback or recording in Windows, do the following:

Windows 98, 98se, ME:
1. In Control Panel, double-click Multimedia or Sounds and Multimedia.
2. On the Audio tab, select the devices you want in the Preferred Device boxes.
3. Click the Use Preferred Devices Only check box to select it.
4. Click OK.

Windows 2000 and XP:
1. In Control Panel, double-click Sounds and Audio Devices.
2. On the Audio tab, select the devices you want in the Default Device boxes.
3. Click the Use only default devices check box to select it.
4. Click OK.

Windows Vista:
1. Go to Start > Control Panel
2. In Control Panel, select the option that says Hardware and Sound
3. Under the listing for Sound, select Manage Audio Devices
4. Under Recording and Sounds tabs, you will find all available devices. To set a default device, right click on one of them and select Set as Default Device.

Windows should now be configured to use these devices for both playback and recording.

This should fix your problem, if not use link to go to Sony support. Use the E-Mail option for a faster solution.

How can i enable the sound of my computer?

Start>Control Panel>(Sounds, Speech, and Audio Devices>)Sounds and Multimedia (or Audio Devices)

In here go to Audio (tab at the top). On the sound playback device select, "Volume." Move the main audio playback slider up to increase the volume.

If for some reason there are no audio devices listed in the Sound control panel (unlikely), there is a possibility that your audio ports have been disabled (again, unlikely).

Go to your device manager by right-click My Computer (Either located in your start menu or on your desktop) and go to Properties. Now select, "Hardware." In here click the button, "Device Manager."

The device manager should appear. Look at, "Sound, video, and game controllers." If anything in this category is listed as disabled try enabling it, then exit the device manager.
