My hp officejet 7410 all in one display only hp invent and not respond

When the software is installed for the printer, one of the applications that is added to the system is the HP Director. There are times when this application does not open on systems that are running the Windows XP operating system. One way to correct this is to run the program from the HP program group from the "All Programs" option on the Start menu. The application will load into the computer's memory but does not appear on the screen. Press "ALT" + space bar to view the shortcut menu. Select "minimize" to display the program on the taskbar. Another option is to update the program by visiting the HP Software Download Page (see Resources).

Make sure you power cable is not unplug from the unit

I did everything you said, even the angry part lol and still nothing. Sigh...well, I've been wanting an air printer anyway :D

Printers are cheap and not worth fixing it sounds like you have a common problem involving the internal CPU in the printer to have it repaired it would cost twice as much as to buy a new on

This is apparently a common problem with this model, but HP has not offered any help with it. Mine did it a few weeks ago and I found the solution in another thread on fixya. Follow this link and then open the back of the printer and disconnect the wireless card as described by Maggix. It will kill your wireless capability but let the printer start working again.

I'm afraid this one is a critical issue. If your product is in warranty or out of warranty , it would be better to upgrade to a newer model as this is a serious flaw in the printer.
