TV will stay on for around 30 mins then pops and goes off. I can unplkugg the set and then plug it back in and it will come on and then the same thing happens again. I have replaced part number EAY34797001. Not sure what to do next.

When heats up, the supply voltage from the main power supply board goes less. Check all the soldering to this board for any loose solder terminals. Resolder all the suspected solder terminals by applying a little more solder. If it do not help you, replace the board as card basis.
It sounds like you have a logic board problem. It is easy to fix open up your tv on the back and the logic board should be covered with a small metal plate unscrew the it, it uses small screws get the number of that board an order it through guytvparts.com is the cheapest
For bobby11 and luis, it is the power supply. Part Number EAY34797001 in the 42" and EAY34796801 in the 32". This is a known problem, and somebody should start a Class Action against LG over this one. Part is available online and easy to swap out for anyone with the most basic knowledge.
