My garage door opener is now having problems with going either up or down. I've tried adjusting the up and down limits and/or the force. The door will either go up fine and not go down or will go down fine but not up. I imagine that I have to keep adjusting until I find the right mix. But if I could possibly get some better direction I'd appreciate it.

My problem is similar, but it seems to occur only at temps near or below 40 degrees. I have to hold the wall mounted control to force it to close as the remotes do not work on closing but only opening.

My garage door won't go up or down. I have to unplug the opener and allow the system to reset itself. Then it works a few times and I need to start the process over again. What to do next?
