I have the same problem but mine is the "o" key that popped off when a piece of Rice got under it. The strange X shaped double hinge connector makes it impossible to get the key back on without a special tool only available to Acer repair labs. i tried to make a toll myself from paper clips but failed.I have the same problem but mine is the "o" key that popped off when a piece of Rice got under it. 1. If you have the key retainer (image) you can find some good instructions on the webpage.
2. If you do not have the retainer you will have to buy either the key or the entire keyboard from ebay. As of Jan 1 there are no keys available for acer keyboards but the entire keyboard is available here and here.
I have a sensitive , Key and I removed the key to clean it, to replace the key if you put a knife blade under the right hand side of the scissor mechanism holding it up and then snap the key back on , I found the top goes on first easiest and the bottom will go when the knife is removed,PS I still have an over sensitive key, anybody got any ideas?
I have lost the F11 key of my acer 5315 after trying to hover dust off ..... cant find the key in the hoover...twas an industrial hoover..... anyone got one?
My "j" key fell off and I think that it is easier to snap the top on first. If you try and snap the bottom on first, the top easily sets back into place.

Unless I'm missing something, just put the key back where it belongs. Push down hard, and it'll snap back into its place. If this doesn't work, check the underside of the key. If you see broken plastic, you'll probably have to find a new key. Acer laptops seem to have a problem with keys coming out and breaking (just look at the number of times this question has been asked!)
Either something got spilled in it or the connection ribbon got jossled lose. The top power bezel should be in with clip snaps. Remove it then the keyboard should pop up after you lightly squeeze the sides in. Look under the keyboard there is a ribbon that connects with a lock snap. Lightly push the lock clip up and push the ribbon back in and snap the clip back on. Do not put it all together yet try booting it apart and try the keyboard. If it still doesnt work power down remove battery unplug it and finish removing the keyboard order u a new 1. They run around $20 brand new.
usually if you push the key back then put a little pressure in it. it will snap back to the keyboard. if nothing happens. i advised you to contact your manufacturer and have your laptop repaired if it is still under warranty
Here is a website I found that indicates they have the Acer NSK8458AN keyboard in stock. (Not advertising for this website, just from a quick search on the internet),
The space bar key is connected tothe keyboard a little bit differently then any other key. There is a metal retainer connectedto the space bar key (on some keyboard models). Separate the retainer from thespace bar key with a flathead screwdriver. Install the retainer back inplace as it shown on the picture. You have to engage the retainer with thesmall hooks on the keyboard. Put the space bar key back inplace and gently press on it with fingers until it snaps back in place. That’s it. The space bar key isinstalled back in place and should work as before. If you still cannot fix yourkeyboard, then you’ll have to find a new oneand replace it. Pleas rate my solution on fixya if you are done.
Generally most OEM (Original equipment manufactures') will not replace an individual key. This practice is common because this can be classified as "cosmetic damages". However, since the unit was purchased at Best Buy (I checked the serial number) the Geek Squad counter at your local Best Buy will replace the keyboard for you free of charge under your warranty.
