Why does ice dispenser stick?

I dont know what brand you have. But there is a springlever to return the lever to closed posision. Eather the return spring/mechanism is broken. Or has become loose from the fastnerclips holding it in place. I have also seen that ice is the reason for this. Iceing around the very top of the lever.

Model #WSF26C2EXY02. Why is ice maker not making ice?

When the ice-tray is full it pushes 'UP' a lever that shuts the water supply off. When you move the lever down all goes back to normal.

Samsung rf4287hars ice dispenser doesn't work

The whole unit must be removed and unplugged. There is a screw in the bottom near the dispenser opening. Remove this screwn and then take a butter knife and start prying the unit outword.

The lever that operates the microswitch may be broken and was on mine. This part is cheap plastic and breaks when over entended in the least. If the actuation lever is broken, you will NOT feel any resistance when pressing the Ice despenser and will push on through to dispense water. Problem is there is NO fix for this except replacement and Samsung will not pay for it.

I fashioned a piece of bailing wire in place of the lever that will act the same and have a little spring incase someone presses to hard with their cup/glass. Yes... its bailing wire and works great. You must drill through the middle of the broken support, fashion the wire, coat with super glue and put in position pretty quick. 43e0da13-0ab4-425d-8cad-f17e16cccb58.jpg

If you find a small plastic piece on the floor and your ice maker stops dispensing.... I think I know your problem.

The ice maker works perfectly in my Sears Kenmore Elite Refrigerator, but the ice crusher doe snot work. When i put the glass under or I push the lever, no ice comes out. I have removed all the ice sevral...

Push the lever to dispense ice and listen for a small click sound,(the micro switch). If you hear a click you will have to determine if there is a broken wire to the dispenser motor or if the motor itself is defective, This will not be a visual diagnosis unless you fine a broken wire in the hinge area.

Water dispenser gets stuck

It could be the switch that activates the lever. This happens when you have soda in the glass and then fill your cup with ice. It splashes up to the switch then it becomes sticky.

Water dispenser will come on at random times

are you talking about the lever where you put your glass to get water or the ice compartment if it where you put your glass to get water it could be that if the pressure is not strong enough to close the valve after you have taken a glass of water or a defective solenoid vavle thanks from gilles

Ice despenser won't sut off.

hi ggammon the dispenser is activated by the paddle that you place your glass against, then touching a micro switch .so i'd say you've got somthing amiss there and i would think only eyes on the ground can see what that is.i just said a prayer for you and you'll have to go back in there.in Gods service, tom

TFX22CR GE refrigerator TFX22CRXFWW does Not dispense ice.

I had this problem with a similar refrigerator. The problem was the slide switch burns itself especially if you slide it from ice to water while holding the glass in to get ice and water into your glass. Better to slide it to ice, press the glass in to get ice, release the glass to stop the ice, slide the switch to water, then press the glass in again to get water. I "fixed" mine by removing the control panel and soldering some of the connections on the slide switch together so that we now have no crushed ice function, but the ice cubes work again. You can also replace the circuit board in the control panel to restore it to like-new operation. I could not find a place to order just the slide switch.

Not sure if this is the same problem with your unit, but sounds the same.
