Question about Gateway Televison & Video

Gateway TV On Screen Menu stays on and scrolls through options

I have a 42 inch Gateway Plasma TV model number GTW-P42M102. The TV powers on and appears to function normally, except the On scree menu stays on and scrolls through all options. I have replaced the front button panel circuit board and the problem still exists. Does anyone have a fix for this problem. I hate to just throw this thing in the trash.
Thanks

The menu pops up on starting and continues to scroll. The front panel buttons on the TV do not do what they are supposed to do (i.e. Vol button changes input option, etc.)

i have the gtw-p42m102 and it did the scrolling thing and i had the image board dpwb11393-1g-l changed and it worked fine for 2 years. Now it made a pop like a firecracker and i am working in it now.

I have a gateway 42 inch TV and the onscreen menu

1. check the batteries in your remote. if the batteries need replacement replace them
2. Then click the exit button on the remote.
I am not sure of the model of you TV but your user manual should instruct on how to remove the menu screen this is possible that the TV needs a reset.
3. You can unplug the set for 30 second and this usually will solve this issue if not then there is a firmware issue or circuit issue.
Hope this helps you with your issue. Have a great day!
