Frigidaire smooth top stove

Use this. Spray it on. Make sure you only keep it on the glass. Wipe it off any metal trim. Cover the top with a sheet of clingfilm, (that stops it drying out). Leave it overnight and in the morning just wipe it with a none scratch sponge, rinse and polish. FYI, you can only damage a ceramic glass top by scratching it with something that is harder.

I bought a can today, clean stove for Christmas!

You mean an AMANA stove. That process involves pulling the sides off the stove. Remove the screws from the back and take the sides off. Then you should see screws holding the top down. Remove those and lift the top off.

I've seen mixed results across the internet on this one. From personal experience, for some reason, my glass teapot left some sort of stain on my ceramic stovetop. It also took longer to heat. I then went out and bought a simple metal one and have been pretty satisfied. If cosmetics are a concern, it's not too difficult a step to pour the water into your teapot after the fact, right?

use caustic soda power mixed with water and wallpater paste so its a thin jelly . apply with a brush and leave over night . rince with warm water on a clean cloth. use rubber gloves and glasses for protection
500g caustic powder
2 pints water
add wallpaper paste powder little at a time till jelly like

I recommend a product called of all things "barkeepers friend". It comes in a can with holes in the top to sprinkle the powder out of.

Moisten the stubborn area and sprinkle this product on the stain then add enough water to make a paste. Make sure the paste covers the entire stain. LET IT SIT FOR AT LEAST TEN MINUTES. Then rub with a wet cloth. It always works for me and I have a black stove.

Usually short instructions come with the glass. Just be careful about the wires not to pinch them tween the new glass and the frame. Use the type sealant they recommend.

This is smooth glass - you can use a razor blade on it. Hope this helps!
