I have literally just solved this issue oin my tytn II, i am on the 3 network, i have had the problem all day, not through updating software etc, it just occoured, checked sim in another phone, all ok, checked settings in tytn, all ok, removed sim and restarted phone, laft it on (without sim inserted) for about 3 mins, then turned off and re-inserted the sim, all is back to normal now.

White screen on a htc 8525

I have a small solution to what all of you are having with the black screen. I had the same problem so, what you want to do is keep pressing the power button. You do not turn the phone off, you will just put it in standby mode and then back on. If you keep doing that the screen will turn back on but you can not let the back light go out.
