I'm going to help my Mom by taking out her old tappan wall oven and install the new one. Can someone tell me how the oven comes out? How is it held in, does it come out in pieces or as one unit? Can I expect a flexible gas line?
Turn off the gas. Look in the front of the oven for mounting screws. Open the door and look inside the frame for mounting screws. Remove the mounting screws,slide the oven out carefully,it will be heavy. Unplug the cord.Disconnect the gas line. Set the oven aside in one piece.

There will be a removable panel that allows you to access the gas valve and line. There will be clips/brakets that hold the unit to the wall and the unit comes out as all one peice. (with the exception of the access panels of course.
You will "probably" have a flex gas line, but if not just look for a union for the disconnect. (usually found near the gas valve.)
