The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.
Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program, such as Picasa ( http://picasa.google.com ).
Hi - I am not familiar with this camera, but it appears many users have encountered similar downloading problems. That is too bad - kids should not be made to feel cheated out of the wonders of technology.
1- Connect the camera to the computer and put it on. Go to Start/ My Computer If the camera appears as an external memory volume E: or D: etc. , click on the icon and on any folders inside. The photos should be there. Copy the entire folder enclosing the photos (right-click/copy) and paste it in any other folder where you have your files for example on the desktop.(right-click/paste). 2- If the camera does not appear in My Computer in step 1. check if it has a removable SD memory card. If it has one take it out of the camera and put it in an SD card reader (some computers like the iMac and other laptops have an SD card slot built in the side) . Connect the reader by its USB to the camera and check My Computer as in step 1. Since the camera has a built-in memory as well as the SD card the photos you want may be on the internal memory. So you need to go to step 3. 3- If the camera does not have an SD card, then your only option is to check the camera driver installation, and use. The manual and the following pages should help: Good luck it is frustrating to deal with driver problems.
This seems to be a pretty basic camera for kids. Sears is selling it perhaps the store can assist you with battery. All cameras have some type of battery. This one uses 1 AAA battery. Kids toys generally have a little screw holding the door to the battery compartment in place. Many times those little eye glass screwdrivers or computer screw driver will do the trick. I would take out the SD memory card and use it with a card reader like this one: http://bit.ly/5fruhB . You simply take out the SD memory card and put it in the card reader. Then put the usb end of the card reader into your computer and download the pictures that way.I also recommend that you download Picasa, a free photo organizer/editor for your pictures: http://bit.ly/5f6HEt This way you bypass the lousy Polaroid software altogether. Hope that was helpful, Take Care, -WN
hi, i had trouble getting the computer to recognize the camera to get the pictures off. it seems that the drivers for the camera were not included on the install CD, but they can be found here: http://digiblue.com/customer-service/downloads/ just click on the first download under the "Driver Downloads" section. Hope this helps.
If you have the Disney Pix CLICK camera then just click on your Start Menu, click on My Computer (Computer if you have Vista) and connect the camera to your computer. You will see a new Removable Disk show up in your screen. Open that removable disk and open the two sub-folders and you should be able to manually drag and drop or copy and past them to your computer.
If the camera you have looks like the one in the picture for this forum then it's the Pix MICRO. For this camera you must have the downloader program and drivers installed from the disk. You can get the drivers and downloader from the www.digiblue.com website on their customer service page or you can go to http://store.digiblue.com/ and purchase a replacement CD.
