I was having problems with Mavica MVC-CD350 getting disk error C:13:01...I blew air over the open compartment and closed it and it seems ok, but when I take a picture, I have to chose 'record' for each picture. I'm afraid to touch anything,so why do I have to now "record"?

ive had my camera for a while now..prob about 6 yrs..it will not accept any discs..it gives me a formatting error

anyone having problems with not being able to finalize a disk because of this 13:01 disk error....I finally figured it out. I hit the reset button about three different times and that still didn't help. Finally I took the disk out, turned the camera on, turned the dial to setup and then went to disk finalization and then put the disk in, shut the door and clicked OK to beging the process and IT WORKED!!! this is for the Sony Mavica CD500 and I'm using Memorex brand disks. the only place I can find them is on ebay.

I have had similar problem and i think it's a problem with the disc. Make sure the disk is clean and unscratched. Check your other discs, too, to see if they are giving you the same problem. If not, it' is most likely the disc and not the camera.
