Freezer moisture overflowing into refrigerator

Freezer moisture is filling up tray at back of freezer, freezing and then overflowing into the refrigerator compartment and spoiling food. Have to break out ice once a week or so to keep water out of refrigerator. ??? Also not sure how to keep refrigerator cold without freezing my vegetables in the crisper drawers. User error?...not sure how to use humidity slider tabs. Thanks!

You need to completely clear the defrost drain and get all the excess ice out of the freezer area.

Your drain is clogged, defrost the freezer and locate the drain either on the back or in the bottom of the fridge and clean it out. the water is coming from when the fridge goes into defrost

Why is my ice maker causing blocks of ice at the bottom of ice bucket ,also on freezer baskets ?

Sounds like there is a leak in the water fill line to the ice maker or the timer in the ice maker is defective causing the fill cycle to overflow the cube tray and then freeze into blocks in the freezer.

The freezer fills with water and overflows about once a week. The food is partially frozen and the ice is clear and wet. The fridge is cold and no problems but the freezer doesn't fully freeze and water...

your evaporator coil in the rear area behind the freezer back panel is frozen over with ice and the coil can no longer deliver cold air due to ice blocking the air flow from the evaporator fan, remove this rear panel, defrost it with a hair dryer, check the defrost heating coil for continuity, they go bad regularly,if not the heater coil under the evaporator coil,it may be the defrost timer in the refrigerator section of the unit that powers the defrost coil that needs replacement

this is usually 1 of two things
1 moisture that has condensed in side the fridge or freezer, suggesting that you may a door seal leak
or overflow from a defrost problem

checks: 1 inspect your deasl seal and that all of them are free of obstrcuttion and actually seal the door

2. look at the back wall of your freezer is their
an odd amount of frost

Ice freezing up on bottom of freezer and water puddles in front

Two possibilities, ice maker leaking or the defrost drain is blocked with ice or another object. Unplug the freezer and remove the rear panel in back of freezer. At bottom of the evaporator coil is a tray that catches the defrost condensate and sends it to the pan beneath your refrigerator to be be heated by the compressor and fan heat produced from the condenser. The moisture is then returned to the air inside your home. If the drain is blocked with ice or anything between the freezer and the pan below, the condensate tray will overflow will end up inside your freezer or fresh food compartment. Questions? Water leaking to bottom of freezer

ok you have a blocked freezer drain. The best thing to use to clear this is 'curtain wire (the plastic coated wire you use to hold up net curtains). Ok you need to find the drain hole in the "small tray on the back wall inside that fills and freezes and then the water is overflowing at this point to the bottom of freezer" you want to gentley feed the curtain wire down the hole untill the water drains down there. If you can't get the wire down you may need to turn the unit off to defrost as it could be frozen solid with ice. cheers

Freezer and icemaker freezes, jams.

I have run into this before and found it very helpful to re-level the refrigerator. By leaning the fridge back toward the wall about an inch helped keep the water and ice in the tray. Remember to remove items that block air flow in the freezer. Remove the ice bin and clean it then start over with the fridge leaning back a little. Hope this helps.

Auger freezes up

Check that ice maker unit is not overflowing down back of freezer, this can be done by opening door, holding light switch in the closed position and observing the tray filling. Regards Advisor
