How do I connect a microsoft wireless moblie mouse 3000 to my laptop?

Press the button on the back of the mouse to free the battery cover on top.

Remove the battery cover and put the supplied AA battery into the mouse.

Replace the battery cover.

Insert the wireless USB dongle into a USB port on the laptop or desktop computer.

Move the mouse and watch your computer screen.

Confirm that the mouse is connected by making the cursor move.

Hope this helps

It does move on screan, and yes i put a new battery. i let someone with a Acer laptop use it. whould work when got it back???

Please clarify what the problem is with the mouse? Are you saying its connected to your laptop and it will not move on the screen after putting in new batteries?

If this is the case and the batteries are good, then you might need to re-connect the mouse by pressing the tiny connect button located on the mouse itself and press the other connect button that is on the usb adapter that it uses to sync the connection. Both buttons need to be pressed at the same time. This should solve your problem.

I put new batteries in and everthing lights up. The mouse worked at one time but I haven't used it in a few years. I've pushed both buttons (1) on the mouse and (2) on the USB adapter, the adapter blinks...

disconnect the usb adapter from the system connect it again mean while remove the mouse batteries re insert or better change batteries then perform the step that you ahve already tried

The "mouse" on my Hp Pavillion laptop stopped working last night---it will not move the cursor. Can I fix this and if so, please explain in basic layman's terms so I can understand the instructions?

Is this a wireless mouse, or a wired one? If it is wired, there could be 1) so much dirt between the ball and the contacts inside the mouse housing that it won't move (usually there is a way to remove the ball and use tweezers to try and remove all the accumulated stuff); 2) the connection (plug) could have worked loose. Pull the plug out, reinsert it, and reboot. 3) the cord could have a bend or been steppedon and have a poor or no connection. A new mouse is in order. If it is a wireless mouse, batteries are the probable culprit. We put new rechargeable batteries in less than a week ago in ours, and even though our mouse goes in a charger when we are not using it, it would not work until I put new rechargeable batteries in. Remember - even new things can be bad.

Crazy mouse

For that problem I will suggest to use USB optical mouse. Besides, it cost chip and most of all its weightless than with battery wireless mouse. I have tried to use it and I totally satisfied with the result. Hope it help.

Mouse drawing to much power dances all over the screen

Make sure you don't have any bluetooth devices activated near your wireless mouse or it will keep making it move all over the screen, killing the batteries. After bluetooth devices are disabled, take the batteries out and leave the mouse sitting for awhile without the batteries in their to let it reset for a fresh start. Them put them back in and see if it works. If it still does not work, un-install and re-install the software that came with it.
