I shutdown my pc (eMachines eSystems model 314) last night, went to switch on again earlier and nothing, zilch! Won't even power up, no lights on switch, dead! Have since removed and cleaned best i could the psu and replaced correctly, but still nothing. Any ideas gratefully received?

The power supply. Go on craigs list get your self a 350 watt power supply u can get them for 10-30$ I my self have found them there for 10$ replace the power supply. Can you handle that?

Try removing the battery and connecting your charger. Press power button for some seconds. Disconnect the charger, reinsert the battery and switch back on. Should work now. Else your power supply is faulty.
Remove the power cable and hold down the power button for about 30 to 60 seconds. plug the power back in and see what happens. If fail look at the back of your computer ans make sure that the fan for the power supply is on. Also make sure that the red switch is set to 115V and not 220V. This is also located in the power supply.
If al has failed your power supply is no longer working and will need to be replaced.
you could replace your video card.but it could be a motherboard problem as well.if your card can be removed try it in another pc.you could also try resetting the computer bios.
her i think your problem is on hardware laver or yr operating system is Currapt if yr computer show some file is missing or currapt then just install os or reocer with recover cd
