My xbox 360 wont sync any of my wireless controllers even when i put brand new batteries in it and i have a plug and play thats fully charged up but it will let my wired controller work. Also the power light wont come on at all unless i unplug it for a few days then it only stays on for an hour. Help me please i dont want to get a new 360 if its something simple.
When i got my 360 from ebay it didn't sync because,it was messed up on the inside. If you got it online send it back and get a new one
Its definatley the wireless reciever because mine did the same jus take ur xbox apart n where the sync signal reciever is jus give it a good clean with DRY cloth DO NOT make it wet !!!! trust me :)
I believe if you go ahead and hook the wire up to the controller and the Xbox, it will auto sync that controller so next time you wont have to use the wire. At least that will work for the Xbox brand controllers.
On charging, take the battery pack (or regular batteries, which ever you use) out and clean the contacts with a soft brass brush (Wal-mart carries them in the gun cleaning kits) , do the same for the battery pack
If your wireless controllers wont sync to your xbox, it could be one of 2 things.
assuming your batteries are fully charged, and that you're using a certified xbox controller, it could be that the controller itself. it is really rare that the wireless receiver inside the xbox itself, goes out, but soemtimes, it happens.
the easiest thing or you to do would be to either pick up an after market controller, or another certified controller, and see if they'll work. if you try other controllers, and they STILL dont work, verify that your system settings are correct, or are set to default, and make sure that your xbox isnt sitting close to something that could be interfering with the signal....like a wireless router for example
if this doesnt work, then it's a problem with the xbox, and you should send it back to the service repair center.
