Just type 'free pixma ip1800 drivers' in the google window and press enter. You will get a long list of site to download from. Always use this search method on the net.

Most computers these days have to have the CD installation disk to provide the drivers and the program to receive the scans. When you scan, it brings up the program to receive the scan. You will have most likely have to reinstall the CD on your computer in order to scan. You might check with Best Buy (their service section) to see if they have the installation CD you need. I used to work as a tech for them, and they often save extra CDs, or have copies just for situations like this.
I did find what looks to be a free driver download site. There is a chance that this will work, so it's worth a try. Here is the site:

Hi, such a pain when this happens, been there many a time! If you go here: http://software.canon-europe.com/products/0010324.asp Choose your Operating System and language, then all the software you require, including drivers should be available to you here. If not, let me know your OS and I will find the appropriate driver for you. Hope this helps! Si :)
