No "message for you" on display screen when there are new messages in the mailbox on my Norstar phone.

Try FEATURE # 65
There is a Send Message feature on the system, and when you dial Feature #65 this will tell you who sent you this message and press the # button to delete this message.

i have a problem with ... i can't do a call when the hand phone it be closed ... so what is the code to open it..?

Ex: in another phone when the hand phone it be closed i put the code (91) to open line.... but in the phone who ruin i can't do this...

When trying to copy a voice mail message to another person's mail box we get a 'cannot continue' error message. We were able to copy messages up until this week, any ideas?

If the destination mailbox has existing new or saved messages, there might not be enough capacity to allow the message to be copied into the mailbox. Check the destination mailbox to see if this is the case.

Voicemail MSG indicator, but no message

more than likely someone in your office left the message rather than the voice mail. to clear it press the call soft key below the screen. the screen should display who left the message with two of the soft keys labeled call and erase. press the erase soft key. it's possible the the person/s theat left the message left multiple messages. in that case repeat the procedure til all messages are canceled

Describe your NorStar M7100 Corded My phone display shows ?message for you?, but I have no new or old messages. The display should show the date and time. We did reinitialize the mailbox and the same above...

Your phone may have another mailbox associated with it, like the general delivery mailbox which can be mail box 100, try logging into 100 with default password of 0000. I am assuming you have 3 digit extension, if 2 digit login into mailbox 10.

What extension? If this is set as the receptionist, the general mailbox may be lighting the lite....check the general mailbox.

Norstar meridian displays "message for you"

If you have no messages in your mailbox then someone has accidentally sent you a message from their phone set. You can usaully clear this by using the options in the display to delete all messages or try these feature codes

The Feature button is the gray button that looks like it has a globe on it located under the display.

Press Feature #65

Norstar M7208 telephone

This could be because you have several mailboxes/extensions set up. We've had the same problem in our office.

As a result, from the phone that reads "Messages for you" you can find out which mailbox is attached to the phone.

1. Press "Feature"
The display will read: "Set: ???"

The numbers shown in place of the question mark will be the numbers to the mailbox attached to the phone.

2. Press "Feature"
Enter 981 for voice mail access

The display will read "Login: "
Enter the numbers from the previous action, and if you don't know the password, attempt to use the default passwords of 0000 or 1234.

This worked at our office. I hope it works for you.

If not? We find the site http://nortstarsupport.com VERY helpful.

If you don't know the password, but have access to the system administrator login, you can reset the password for the set you are trying to retrieve messages.
