it is possible that your printer settings is set print high quality for a photo paper. try to check if you are printing on plain paper, select paper type as plain paper and quality to normal.
You didn't mention installing the 920c on your computer. You should have received an HP Deskjet 920c series printer software CD which installs the printer on your computer. You may need to check the HP web site to see if your computer is equipped with the appropriate driver. The 920c is an older HP printer. One of my printers is a 920c and I had no problem installing it a computer with Windows XP.
on the paper tray look for the cork like(square in shape) moist it with water and all other rubber rollers.
try placing an oil on the round bar wer inks moves to lubricate.
