Try a different store and see if they look up the same one. Quite often their computer gives them the wrong number, and they give you the wrong part. Nobody to blame but the guy who enters the numbers.

I am having trouble removinng the fuel filter from my 2000 jeep grand cherokee. in the process of trying to removing the filter, i broke it off and i dont have the tool, iam in a jam. how can i slove this...

Find a hose that will fit over the end of the line and clamp it on it'll be OK to run it without a filter for a litle while till you can fix it right .. Just make sure your temporary repair does'nt leak as in add more clamps or get a different hose. Once running you can take it to a repair shop or ride down to a parts house where they sell the fuel line tool. Most all parts houses have them and dept. stores too. The fiter job is easy to do with the correct tool and thier only a couple of bucks at the auto parts store.

Need to know where the fuel filter is so i can change the **************

Hello. The fuel filter is under the car in the fuel line. It takes special tools to change it and you can borrow those tools at most auto parts stores as long as you buy the new furl filter from them.

2006 Ford F150

first you gotta find it underneath. its a metal cylinder shaped with two lines going to it, in and out. it is usually held by a big clip to the frame.usually on drivers side between gas tanks and engine. then go to the auto parts store and tell them them yearmake model, and get the gas line removal tool that will fit . unscrew the gas cap so it depressurizes.undo the clips first, then use the tool to slide the lines off the filter each side. a little fuel will leak out so be prepared. then simply put the new filter in the holder and push the lines back . make sure the filter is on the right way, it has an arrow to show flow.

Fuel filter

"Under the vehicle drivers side on the frame rail under the driver side door. There is frame right underneath it but you can access it easily. Be sure to release the fuel pressure before changing the filter. The fuel pressure release valve is located in the engine compartment on top of the engine. It is on the left side of the air intake manifold. It is just a small cap over the valve. Be sure not to lose that cap!! When you change the filter, the filter line on each side of the fuel filter has a quick disconnect type fitting inside the line (similar in principle to a quick disconnect on a gas line or air compressor line). To free the filter from the line you must push in (toward the filter) with a simple tool you can purchase at most auto parts stores for just a few dollars.

Additional Information The tool I was able to rent from NAPA. The guys there were very good to me. Look for about 45 min. of time to complete replacement.

While first off your going to need to relieve the pressure in the system, and if you think your going to just pull the fuel pump relay and then run the engine until it stops to relieve pressure it aint gonna work. Get a bleeder gauge. Your also gonna need a quick disconnect tool. Ford models are usually 1/4" 3/8" or 15/16". Put it on the fuel pump right before the "duck bill" then try to push the line foward. If that doesn't work just try to push the tool into the duck bill then try to push the line foward."
