It got stuck with the lens out and it doesn't get back in. No buttons respond.

I was taking a picture and as soon as I hit the shooter the screen turned itself off and there was no sound of a picture being taken, nothing on the screen, the lens out and when I try to turn it off the power light gets lit but no response. I took out the batteries and put them in again and nothing. I live in Guatemala and in both the International warranty and the manual there's no guatemalan address for technical service nor does it say where to send it. Please help. The camera has always been treated carefully so I am sure there was no negligence involved.

WB610 Camera buttons & lens aren't working as they should?

As soon as the camera is switched on, the lens barrel will come out. Everything should be ready to shoot pictures. If it is not responding to the buttons, you could try to remove the battery for a few moments. It will cause the camera, to start from scratch. Call it a cold boot. But then after switching on, it should respond normal, like you used to work with it. If it stays frozen, visit your dealer or contact a Samsung certified repair centre.

Hi. my problem with my camera is that my niece play with it and she pushed the lens mechanism while the camera is on. now, the lens was stuck and doesn't comes out anymore. when i'm turning on

Force it out like it was forced in. Try to rotate the lens. Remember it has to be off. As soon as the lens is half way out, turn the camara on and the lens will go to its position. If not, while the lens is out turn it left or right until it's back to its position.
Good luck.

When I click the button to take a picture the screen goes blank and doesn't come back on. Power light is still on.

Your shutter is stuck open. Remove the lens. Set to fireworks mode. May need to be in a dark room. When you press the shutter button tap the camera with an object that won't damage it. I used a rubber coated knife handle. Pull the battery and repeat. Tapping all around the camera. Hopefully it will break free. Then do some continuous shooting to loosen it up.

Our camera seems to be okay but when i'm attempting to get picture, i can't see any image in LCD, is it the lens?

First try pressing the DISP or DISPLAY button on the back of your camera. If that doesn't help, try taking a picture with the screen black. Is the picture also black? If so, a stuck shutter is another common failure mode for digital cameras. The symptoms of a stuck or "sticky" shutter are very similar to CCD image sensor failure. The camera may take black pictures (for shutter stuck closed), or the pictures may be very bright and overexposed, sometimes with lines, especially when taken outdoors (for shutter stuck open). To confirm a stuck shutter, put the camera in any mode other than "Auto", and turn the flash OFF (you don't want to blind yourself for the next step). Next look down the lens and take a picture. You should see a tiny flicker in the center of the lens as the shutter opens and closes. If no movement is seen, then you likely have a stuck shutter. If so, please see this link for further info and a simple fix that may help.

Hi my Canon Powershot SD 750 LCD screen stays black when taking pictures, you can't view them either. The only thing that shows up on the screen is the menu functions, you can look through everything...

Power shot a620. screen is not showing pictures, all icons are there but screen is black? Help please!!

Sounds like you might have accidentally pressed the DISPLAY button on the back of your camera. It turns the screen on and off to save batteries. Turn on your camera, and press this button once again to turn the screen back on.

But if your camera is also taking black pictures,
a stuck shutter is another common failure mode for digital cameras. The symptoms of a stuck or "sticky" shutter are very similar to CCD image sensor failure. Switch off and on again? Take battery out and replace. Thats the only 2 ways of 'restarting a camera that I know of. Does your model have a 'reset' function? You will have to check the manual for that. Or ask Canon support.
