While spinning the agitator stopped working properly,motor kept running,dont know how long,but there are belt shavings on the side,now it only buzzes when turned on,is there a reset button for motor,and as for the agitator,will something be stripped,or could it be as simple as a new belt,long shot ha.

To help you with this problem I need you to do something. Place the machine in spin cycle and see if it will pump the water out. Also, lift the lid and look at the back. There should be a model/serial number plate. This information would help.
I do not believe the motor is at fault. I suspect a bad motor coupler. If the machine willpump the water out then I am Sure.

I have the same problem with my GE washer (GJXRP080B2WW). We started the washer before going out and when we came back home. The cycle finished and the cloths were clean but all wet! I then tried again and it did fill water and drain but didn't agitate or spin. I checked the lid switcher, the timer and the agitator which are fine. However, the motor belt doesn't move and it seems the motor doesn't work when power was on. There are a lot of wires connected to the motor and I don't know which one to check to be sure power goes to the motor. Could you please help me? Thanks.
BTW, I didn't find any Reset button or the start capacity...
depending the age of the unit the lid switch can be bad if not that old take front panel off and the newer machines have a motor wit a control board on them with a light on it to give you error codes if it flashes one flash every few seconds the motor is fine but if the light flashes twice over and over again replace motor there is a tech sheet behind timer panel to tell ya the codes.as far as shavings the belt would be something to look in to
