Freezes when choosing a song

Try to connect it to a different USB port and check, or try with some other system and check whether its detecting or not..

The best thing to do wuld be to first, back up all of the stuff on your ipod, and the restore it back to factory setting through itunes. After that, you can put all of your files back on the ipod and it should function normally.

Try keeping switch it ON position.

plug it to the computer
hold down the power button on the mp3 player for 10 seconds.
Go to the RCA web site and download the firmware.
Keep it plug into the computer and install the firmware.
Should work like new. (if you choose format it will erase everything and be back to factory settings)

The songs are in the wrong format. this player will not play iTunes, for instance.

Software corrupt. Try finding out how to install it again or update firmware. If you cant, get another brand. THey like cheap, stop trying to ressurect the dead

I had the same problem a couple of monthes ago. I solved it by upgrading the firm ware to version 3.11. Worked fine since then.

you downloaded a corrupt file, you need to trash everything and restart it from scratch, reformat it, the whole nine yards. you have to be careful when you download from placed.
