Re: My iron shuts off when I am continuously ironing.
The flashing is a indication that somthing is failing.. More than likely it is a internal component..
It might be most efficent to get a new one..
Or bring it back if it is under warranty..

• If steam ironing, is Adjustable Steam Knob in a steam position that matches Temperature Control Dial steam range? Did the iron have enough time to preheat?
• If dry ironing, make sure the Adjustable Steam Knob is in the DRY IRON position.
If this question had come through yesterday I would have said it was an April fools joke. Somehow pressure is leaking back into the iron body and the only outlet it can find is some poorly made electrical lead. For starters I suggest that you replace the cord and plug. Perhaps a better quality cord will not do that. For extra security, seal the ends of the wires with silicone sealant. If I had grand kids, this would be a story to tell them, like you say, it is hard to believe but good luck.
I just told my wife the story and she asked if the water was not coming from the wall socket from a leak somewhere else in the house?
That is the normal way of operation. The green light comes on when the iron is heating up and when the temperature is right the thermostat switches off power hence the light going off.
