Memory card full empty

first you should save the pictures to a computer. After you delete them they are gone forever.
But the view menu, you just press the menu button. In the most left tab, the third line is a bin. goto that line and press the arrow to the right. Then you can chose what you want to delete. Only one picture, pictures with a certain date, a folder or even all pictures.
it is in the English manual on page 101 and 102

Olympus C-350 zoom indicates that card is full. Deleting files or changing card has no effect. Can you help?

One good reason for this problem is that you have been constantly deleting pictures from your memory card. To bring this back on line to working condition and restore the total speed and operation abilities of your camera you need to Format the memory card. First transfer all important files to your computer before formatting the memory card I'm including a diagram of instructions of how to do this. It's actually a screen shot of page 32 of your owners manual.

How do I delete pictures from my memory card.. the camera says card is full?

Hi,

A quick way to multi delete the pictures (providing you have backed them up first), is to use the camera's menu to format the card.

Formatting the card will completely delete all the images and get the card ready for use again.

Regards.

WRITE PROTECT

Sounds like you will need to format the memory card. This will permanently erase all the data from the card and then you will be able to use it again. To format the card: Press the Ok button - right arrow to Mode Menu - down arrow to Card tab - right arrow to card setup - right arrow to format option. You will see format yes or no. Choose Yes and press ok. This will clear the write protect message and the card can be used again.

In the playback mode (ie shutter closed and press "quick view") press "OK" (the centre button!)
select MODE MENU (right),
CARD (down twice),
CARD SETUP (right twice),
"ALL ERASE" should be highlighted, (up/down will toggle between "ALL ERASE" and "FORMAT"), with "ALL ERASE" highlighted press "OK",
press up to select "YES", then hit "OK".

That's it you are done.

Help

Hi,

Yes and in several methods as below listed. Since your posting refers to a generic problem for all digital cameras and not only an Olympus FE-230, some of the settings may have a different nomenclature or button name.
1. When you download pictures to you PC, rather than copy, select move; or
2. If you want to erase one picture at a time from the camera - press on the power button, then menu button, once menu is displayed, arrow down/up, you will be asked to erase the picture displayed, select yes/no by up/down, then press OK (menu button); or
3. If you want to erase all contents of the memory card of the camera - press on the power button, then menu button, once menu is displayed, arrow right, down to select card, right to select card setup, right to enter card setup, arrow down to select format or erase all, OK. Erase all just erases the files, format erases all and re-initialize the memory card; or
4. Remove memory card from camera and insert into a memory card reader attached to USB of your PC. The memory from the camera will be treated as a removable device and you can view, move, copy, delete/erase, format. This option seems to be most effective in viewing all contents under Windows Explorer with the view setting set to Thumbnail.
5. Connect the camera via the supplied cable to any USB port of your PC. The camera will be treated as a removable device and you can view, move, copy, delete/erase, format. This option seems to be most effective in viewing all contents under Windows Explorer with the view setting set to Thumbnail.

Specifically for an Olympus FE-230:
1. Press the < or > buttons to display the picture you want to erase;
2. Press the trash can button (bottom right);
3. Press the UP button to select [YES], press OK;

or

To erase all:
1. Press the MENU button to display the top menu in playback mode;
2. Select [ERASE], [ALL ERASE], and press OK;
3. Select [YES], and press OK

Hope this be of help/idea. Pls post back should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.
