Hi My PC suddenly shut down the other week with no warning. I have changed the power supply but the PC still won't boot up. I have a power light on the inside of the PC on the motherboard. I did have the power light on with the old power supply but thought it wouldn't hurt to change the power supply as a first step.
Recheck all connections, make sure the switch on the back of the power supply (if it has one) is set to the on position. there is a chance the motherboard has failed. with the power off examine the capacitors on the motherboard, especially the ones near the cpu. if they feel rounded on the top they have failed. unless you are good at soldering... consider buying a new motherboard.

Is it overheating? Is the fan and vents clean and allowing sufficent air flow? Was it left unattended and shut down? If so change Power settings to High Performance, change Sleep to Never, Change Hibernate to never. I don't know your OS to give detailed info.
One of the leading causes of computer failure. Replace the Power Supply.
[The next cause of failure is the computer is dirty inside, as well as inside the Power Supply's case. Dirt, dust, etc, takes a Power Supply down quick ]
