I know you've cleaned the printheads, but try this method:

did you remove the tape seal over the ink port of the new cartridge? are you getting any error messages? did you aline the printer in the printer tools? just some things to check
clean also the tab circuit to the printer maybe it suffered loss connection.. ________________________________________________ unplug and plug your printer...and try to wipe the cartridge on a wet cloth ..to determine that there is a ink going out on it...

Driver could be corrupt. Disconnect the printer or at least be sure it is turned off.
I'd do both and reinstall the CD software program that came with
the printer. When the software program asks you to connect the
printer to the USB port, do so and it should again work properly.
