First test the plug connection under the hinge cover of the door that has the controls in it. This is to insure that the male and female plug connections are tight. Next we will need to check the dispenser control board and keyboard electrical connections are tight. Let me know the results.

Problem with these flaps are that they have plastic hinge which work great for sometime when they are new and have shiny inner surface but with use they develop minor scratches which cause resistance and hence partial closing. Either get the flap replaced or apply Vaseline jelly in the moving part of the hinge.

Just wondering if you also have an ice dispenser that noise usually means the ice dispenser is full and needs to be emptied if not sorry that is about all I have.

I had to pull the J3 connector off of the control module located just behind the dispenser panel. That eliminated the cycling and the flashing lights. Maytag guy came out and told me there is a control board located on the back of the refrigerator. Circuit board cost is $180 and installation labor another $300. I think because the refrigerator and freezer are still functional I will not repair this problem at this time.

On left top side of door, remove cap and disconnect wire. This will turn off the control board on front of fridge and fridge will still run. I had the same problem. Found the cover where the beverages dispense to be rusted and not resetting. After the can dispenses, just push the cover back into position and this should help.

the high voltage control board is bad. located on rear of machine.

You need a new high voltage control board. Ive had at least 10 do this.

Is the trap door flap closing properly where the ice comes through the door? If open, warm air would be coming in frosting and maybe iceing things up
