Refuses to print with red light constantly flashing.
I'm getting the message that some parts within the printer are now out of service. I would like to either get this one fixed or even buy a new one - Epson C62. I live nr Hamilton, New Zealand.
Not solved yet however I'm looking at buying another one second hand or finding a printer repair shop. This is definitely a manufacturers bug aimed at selling more machines. If I can locate the driver I'll reload that and see what happens. Cheers. WP.Not solved yet however I'm looking at buying another one second hand or finding a printer repair shop. Check the status monitor and see what further error message ... for this model, it's very prone to mech problem at the feeding area, you will need some tech know how to remove and repair.
reset the printer by turning it off, waiting 10 seconds and turning it back on, also right click on My Computer and select manage..go to services and stop and restart the spooler service
This answer may be a bit late but if this flashing of the red and green light is accompanied by a sound of a motor starting and stopping over and over, it is NOT toner, but a defective capacitor in the power supply. Here is a photo of the part that is creating the problem. I am not responsible for any harm done to yourself so please make sure you know what you are doing.
yes actually there is. the parts its talking about is the inkpad, you can send this over to an epson certifies servicer in your are to have inkpad change and they will reset the counters for it. go this link and look for a servicer near your place http://www.epson.com/cgi-bin/Store/support/SupportIndex.jsp?BV_UseBVCookie=yes
