You may want to try to reformat the player and then load music again after the restore. It also may be a problem on the type of file you are trying to play. Most common formats are .wma, .mp3, .wav
There is a reset button.
If it freezes again after reset, go to Philips website, get the upgraded version of the Philips Device Manager and run the Update tab in Philips Device Manager.
Sounds like it's froze and needs to be reset. - Press to power on/off, enter menu, or hold 15 seconds to reset your Sansa. Or-To reset the sansa = Hold down power button for20 seconds.
