Hi, Joy.

Give these a try:

1. Right-click on your printer icon and select "Offline" to uncheck and bring it back Online again.

2. Let your printer cool down for at least 5 minutes. Power it on again.

3. If you are connected to a power surge protector, flip the switch and power the printer on to see if the printer powers on again.

4. Connect your printer to a different outlet.

5. If not a power issue, remove and reinstall the printer driver.

Hope this helps.

How to restore voicemail after power outage avaya

The only way to restore the setting is through a Backup & Restore card plugged into the system. Also check the system batteries. This will keep power to system during an outage.

Restore incoming call rings after power outage AVAYA

If you have a Backup & Restore card you can manually restore the system. If not you will have to restore everything by manually including voicemail greetings and automated attendants.

I need help, my Laserjet M2727nf printer first says its offline and then won't connect to a new E2500 Linksys router. Can anyone help? I am not a techie.

Hello Margie Martinez,

If the printer says... NOT CONNECTED
it is most likely physically not connected... but
once you have done that (should be enough) there should be no need to repeat the process...

If they have already been introduced to each-other..
just power off the PRINTER... (unplug the cord).

30 seconds would be great...
On repower your printer should come up looking for
it's home router...

Else...
Both ends are designed to survive a simple power outage.
Power them off together... (and restore the power) They should come up looking for each-other.

Still no connection...
Try restarting your PC or MAC

Failing ALL that... call COMCAST... (1-888-COMCAST)
While you are waiting... jot down their ROUTERS
name and password...Then go to the hp PRINTER...

POKE the "set-up" button and walk the display
(most likely starts with "HELP"). Walk the MENU
down to network ... push "OK"...

Print out a copy of your network settings...
Look for the MAC number (displays 0 -9 or A thru F
(hexadecimal))... You only need to be able to recognize the last few characters...

(((MAC address: they are a unique identifier))).

So you will know what you "TECHY" will be doing
for you...

Hope this helps

try this open your printer folder right click on the printer and make sure that the use printer off line is not checked. i have seen this be the case when ive lost power.
if these took a power surge during a storm the nvram chips are probably shot and your network pcb's will need to be replaced

My xerox phaser 8550 displays as offline. how do i get it up and ready to print?

First you need to find out why its offline, it could be the printer is off or the connection to the network or computer is unplugged or loose or just a wacky problem when there is a power outage from time to time or you changed some settings and never reboot your computer.

Try going to Start > Printers and Faxes > Right click on the Phaser printer to check the status there and right click > properties >Ports tab > select your printer and then configure port. a port settings window should open which displays the printers name and IP address. You can also find the IP address on the control panel on the printer scroll down to Information > Printer Identification and the IP address and other printer info should be displayed there.

Copy the IP address and paste it in the browsers address bar and check the status of your printer there, check if there are any jobs waiting to print, try clearing all of them, check the status page to see if there are any issues such as low ink, etc.

After running thru trouble shooting options and help menus there if all else fails, restart your printer by powering down, do the same for your computer and restart them both. I've had these issues before and sometimes just a reboot will correct itself.

After a power outage, my Brother printer,

First off, make sure that you have turned both the printer and the computer off and then turn them on(cycle the power). When you go to the printer in 'printers' be sure that the printer is not light in color, if it is, then it's failed to come back online or it's broken. When you say, 'I have tried going into the control panel and clicking on print offline', I take you to mean 'print online', because you don't want to print offline, you want it online...

The easiest way to solve this is to move the usb plug going into the computer from the printer from one port to another, this will force the computer to re recognize the printer. I see that this printer has network capability. I am assuming, that the printer is connected via USB and not Ethernet. [USB, rectangle the size of your pinky, but narrow, Ethernet looks like a big phone plug]. If you move the plug from one USB slot to another and you don't hear the hardware connect sound(low tone then high tone), then your printer may be broken. It is possible if it is broken that the Ethernet port still works, but using that is beyond this discussion.

Good luck,

Brett

Canon MP 600 Will Not Turn On .... grumble.

I had this same issue. Lost power in the house for just a second, but after the printer would not turn on. I think that the loss of power caused the printer to get stuck in a locked state. Tried everything I could think of including changing outlets that the printer was plugged into but nothing seemed to work. Saw a troubleshooting tip on the Canon webpage about unplugging the unit for 5 minutes and thought it was hooey, but tried it anyway. Ended up leaving the unit unplugged for probably 15 minutes and when I re-plugged it in it fired right up.
