Usually this is caused by the door being bent, the hinges being bent, or a worn out door strike/catch not holding the door tightly closed. Lol, got kids?? Mommy's little helpers love to lean on the doors(the ones that open/close vertically). Also, slamming the dryer door can break the little plastic arm attached to the door switch--I see MANY switches with the arms broken in-half or the strikes/catches damaged from slamming. Usually a relatively simple repair to replace the strike/catch.
I was looking for the same thing myself for our Dishlex 300 a few months back. Our problem was 1/ the handle wasn\'t releasing the door catch,
also 2/ the micro switch in the catch wasn\'t getting pressed down properly to tell the machine the door was closed, so the dishwasher wouldn\'t start. Both problems were related to the plastic ramp inside the door being worn where the tongue of the catch goes in.
We couldn\'t find one in NZ, so I made a tapered flat piece of wood to push the catch down between the main body and the door whenever we want to open it.
For the switch problem it was a bit harder - I opened up the plastic box at the top front of the machine (with the power off of course) and built up the plastic ramp that triggers the switch, using glue and then a file to shape it after the glue hardened.
The usual cause of a hanging door is a worn door hinge or two. You might be able to loosen and lift the two hinges, at the front of the door, a bit. That might allow the door to close better but the best solution is to replace the worn hinges.
if you mean the door hook inside the door this is quite easy you need a flat small bladed screwdriver to split apart the plastic inner part of door from the outer keep working around till you have released all the catches there are several, the inner skin will pull away revealing the hook and a spring the hook just slides out refit new hook with spring and reassemble. easy.
sometimes the selenoid when going out will do that, work right away then not catch for several trys, you might take it in to be tested or just replace it most are not very expensive unless it is directly on the starter then you have to replace starter to get new selenoid
A tumble dryer that isn't heating up at all needs checking with a continuity test meter. The most common cause is a heating element failure, or t.o.c's going open circuit. It depends on which make and model of tumble dryer you have as to how easy it is to get to the relevant parts. Some tumble dryers have heating elements that are easily accessible by removing the back panel, and can be tested for continuity or checked for obvious breakage. Others though have their heating elements inside, which aren't accessible without stripping the dryer down. Tumble dryer heating elements are always protected by thermal fuses which are usually simple devices with 2 wires connected. They can be tested for continuity with a test meter or If power is getting to the tumble dryer and the socket is definitely OK, then the most common problem with tumble dryers not working is when the door micro switch fails, or the catch on the door that operates the switch either breaks or no longer activates the door switch. Check for broken door catches. There is usually a plastic peg on the door that pushes through a hole in the tumble dryer's casing where the door catch is. Closing the door should operate a simple micro switch. If the plastic peg is broken or bent it might not operate the switch properly
the plastic that you see overlapping the metal on the sides of the opening is in two parts, top and bottom, you can see the seem. the top is the smaller part, this plastic is also the drum support on the front. There are some glides on the top section that wear with time, after a few years they may need replacement. Perhaps these are worn out dropping the drum creating an uneven gap and catching. there is also a felt strip in there between the front of the dryer and the drum, keeping it back. To view this remove the top by removing the 2 screws inside upper door opening holding top down. then lift top and if plastic console slide to left then pull away, metal -just pull straight. remove 2 screws holding front to cabinet sides. pull front forward. glides are visible on top. if not there or worn thru plastic replace upper plastic support
The refrigerator door seal is being broken when you open the freezer door? Sounds like the rubber magnetic strip needs to be replaced on the refrig. door, they wear out after a number of years.
