SOURCE: remote won't work

According to page 15 of the manual, you should "Press and hold [ENTER] and the indicated number button at the same time for more than 2 seconds" This will work for SET 1, SET 2, etc. If you have lost the manual for the DVR/Remote you can download a copy at http://service.us.panasonic.com/OPERMANPDF/DMRES15-MULTI.pdf

How do you reset clock on your DVD Recorder DMR-ES15. Can't find booklet that came with recorder.

You can either copy and paste the following link into your browser, for quick-view, and/or save the .pdf document (instructions for Panasonic DMR-ES15 DVD recorder):

http://videolinq.tafe.net/attached_docs/pdf/equipment/Panasonic_DMR-ES15_User_Manual.pdf

(verified and complete to give you a basic operation manual for FREE download)

or you can try to set the clock manually, do this:

press [FUNCTIONS] on the remote while unit is on, to bring up the setup menu, scroll to 'OTHERS' look for 'CLOCK' or 'CLOCK SET' option, highlight it, click it, set the clock. Press [ENTER/OK] to access the date hour minute, etc., then press the relevant remote arrow buttons to select correct time/date, then press [ENTER/OK] to store the current setting. Then press [RETURN] to exit the setup. Clock is now set (this model does not offer automatic clock adjustment for daylight saving).

If the above suggestion does not work, download the pdf and save it for accurate reference. Either may help you.

Panasonic DMR ES15

Got me too... If the buttons on the main unit work normally, then possibly main unit and remote control are using different codes. Main unit shows SET 1; change remote control code to match it: Press and hold [ENTER] and code number [1] keys for more than two seconds. Fix listed in Operating Instructions troubleshooting guide, Operation section (pg 42). MULTI.PDF">http://service.us.panasonic.com/OPERMANPDF/DMRES15-MULTI.PDF
