KitchenAid Stove KERS205TSS 2 light issues.

The oven display light will not stay on. It goes out after about 5 minutes and will not come back on until the oven door is opened or a display such as setting the Time, is pressed then the light comes back on. Also, the oven light stays on. To make it go off, I have to repeatedly depress the light mechanism either by closing the door or manually. Are the issues related? How can I fix this?

The issue with the oven display light and the oven light on the KitchenAid Stove KERS205TSS 2 may be related. The problem with the oven display light could be due to a faulty control board or a malfunctioning light switch. The control board may need to be replaced if it is not sending a continuous signal to keep the light on. On the other hand, if the light switch is defective, it may not be able to maintain a connection to keep the light on.

The issue with the oven light staying on could also be due to a faulty light switch. If the switch is stuck in the "on" position, it will not turn off even when the door is closed. This can cause the bulb to burn out prematurely and waste energy. To fix this issue, you may need to replace the light switch.

It is possible that both issues are related and caused by a malfunctioning control board. If this is the case, replacing the control board should fix both problems.

To fix these issues, it is recommended to contact a certified technician or an authorized service center for KitchenAid appliances. They will have the expertise and tools necessary to diagnose and repair the stove safely and effectively.

Oven light stays on and oven is inop on Kitchenaid KGSS907SSS01. Tried to go to self clean mode, Display states close door, but door is close.

I suspect the door/light switch has malfunction. Look for a plunger type of switch and press it in and see if light goes out. If light goes out, close door and gently press on door and see if light goes out. If this happens, I think the door hinges are not closing the door 100% so the door switch is not engaged. Now if door light stays on while pressing door switch, then the door switch might be your issue. Good Luck

The display and buttons are dead, no display or oven lights but electric starter still works on stove top

find the breaker for the stove and turn it off for 2 minutes then back on, if that does not work look on back of stove in area of controles for a small reset button, some time they are hidden just inside a small hole

I have an over the stove kitchenaid microwave w exhaust hood. About 1/2 hour after boiling water on my stove, my microwave comes on. I have unplugged the microwave-----any ideas?

The issue is probably your exhaust fan on your microwave comes on automatically when it detects a certain temperature. Mine does this as well but will turn off automatically after temperature goes down.

Inoperable KGRE801PBS00 Kitchenaid oven

1) unplug and turn your gas valve off
2) with a #2 phillips remove all the silver screw on the back of your stove (this will make is to you can remove the stainless splashguard)
3) there are several black screw holding on a removable (stainless) panel that covers the back of the stove - your culprit (thermal fuse) is under here).
4) on the back of the oven you'll see the back of a couple of fixtures (stove light, temp sensor etc). <-- do not touch these..
5) there is another attachment (attached with black #2 robertson screws).. it has two black wires plugged into it.. this is your thermal fuse - mine has a number 8300802 on it.

I had to replace this (18bucks) from my local hardware store. Unfortunately, these stupid ovens have this part recurring so buy a few.

At your own risk - when reinstalling, slip a little cardboard between the thermal fuse sensor (stainless flat side) and the stove.. you may save a few headaches..

this repair was an easy one compared to replacing the board on this stupid oven.. (i would not recommend buying one - typical north american engineering designed to keep the repair folks working)..

i guess you need to find a different way to screw the consumer eh KitchenAid? lol

have fun
