Assuming you have your mic plugged in properly and all is working well save for this one issue, do as follows: press the SELECT button on the track/channel which has the mic on it. Then press the SEND button over to the right of all the tracks. The button is right under the EQ button. After you press the SEND button, a screen opens up and you can send reverb to that channel/track...as much as you want. I hope this helps.
I get a CAUTION sign when I boot up that says:
Cannot Boot! Not Detect HDD Correctly. Please POWER OFF , and Check H/W..." Can anyone assit me with resolving this problem
You'll need your PC as the intermediary. You'll have to do a USB export of the tracks you want from the DP01 to your PC and then connect the 2488's USB to the PC and do a USB import of those tracks into new tracks on the 2488.
Page 40 of the DP01FX manual will explain using the USB connection and page 43 details the steps for performing a USB export.
In the 2488 NEO manual refer to pages 80 and 81 for using the USB connection and importing the tracks.
The best way to accomplish this would involve ripping the sountrack from disk first using your PC to create a wav file and then importing the resulting stereo wav file into a pair of tracks on the 2488 NEO.
The process for ripping would depend on whatever software you use to rip from the CD (lots of free ones available out there) and the process to import a stereo wave into the 2488 NEO would be detailed in your 2488 manual on pages 81 and 81.
i tried everything to import my rap beat into my tascam 2488 neo it wont let me says that i want a anotrher cd
how do i know which cd to put the wave file in cuz all i did were convert the beat into wave file in itunes and burn it as data on the cd and it wont do it i also burn it as music on the cd it wont do it what do i do?
No the neo does not have the built-in drum patterns/drum machine like the origial grey 2488 did. It was abandoned for the 2488 MkII which was the intermediate model and hasn't reappeared.
I create drum patterns either using an external machine recorded in real time to a track on the my 2488 or create a drum pattern on the PC which I save as a mono wav and import to a track on the 2488.
When the button is down phantom power is on (for the first four inputs only... A to D... which are XLR or 1/4" ... the others don't have phantom power).
Make sure that the trim pot for the input is turned up. You should see the meters moving for the stereo bus in the LCD screen when using the mic even if the input isn't yet assigned to a track (and hear it assuming your monitors or stereo system is set up already and the master fader is turned up).
