When you took out the memory card; did you see anything on the contacts that could be keeping it from resetting. Try a pencil eraser lightly over the contacts, clean and try it again.

How can I solve my sony cyber shot camera modal DSC W630 is shows error as C13:01

This error indicates a memory problem.
The camera can't read or write data to the memory card. Try turning off and on the camera again, or take out and reinsert the memory card several times. Also remove and reinsert the battery.
It also can mean the memory card is not formatted, or there is a format error for an other reason. Format the internal memory or the memory card.
It also could mean the memory card is damaged and can't be used any more. Then you have to place a new memory card.

I hope something will help.
This is also in you user manual.

Targus card reader

First - have you ever used this memory card in this camera with this card reader connected to this computer - or is one or more "new to to the mix"? If so, which are new?

The obvious stuff is what I like to check out first.. check that the reader is connected to the computer's USB port (switch to a different port if it is and see if your computer displays a message indicating it is installing drivers / reading the memory card). Make sure the card is in the correct slot. Many readers can accept several different memory cards in two or more different slots - make sure you have inserted yours in the correct slot - and oriented properly. The card should slip in easily - not forcing should be required. Some readers maybe connected via USB "hub" that requires power - if yours is set up this way, make sure the power pack is plugged it.

Still nothing? Make sure there are images on the memory card. You should be able to reinsert the card into your camera and play them back on it. If they do play, remove the card and attempt to play them on the camera again - if they play this time, that tells me the images are in the camera's internal memory - not the removable memory card. You will need to transfer them from the camera - not the memory card if this is the case.

If you're still having trouble, please provide the camera & card reader name & model and if you're using Windows or something else. Finally, what is the name model and memory capacity of the memory card? Good luck!

When turned on, says "memory card error! reinsert

Remove the card from the camera and use the card reader on your PC to scan the memory card. It is possible there are errors on the card. If so format after copying all the files from the card. Now if the camera shows an error the fault is with an interface issue with the motherboard. make sure that the card holder tray is clean, blow air to dispel any dirt and also try with another card to confirm the case.

Says to reinsert memory card & card is in camera. Try another card & says memory stick formatting error

i have the same problem..
I have a Sony Cybershot DSC T70 and it keeps saying "Reinsert memory stick" whenever I turn on the camera or slide down the camera lid. Also, whenever I try to view the pictures on my laptop it shows "Please reinsert the memory stick" something along those lines. As I have been researching for the solution, I would have to format the memory card. However, I wouldn't want to lose the pictures as I just took many as from the holiday last week. The only problem is the memory card, I tried using another memory card and it works fine with the camera. There is nothing wrong with the camera.\r\nCan someone please help me how to solve the memory stick problem? It would be great. Ty.

Are the contacts on the card clean? Is the slide switch on unlocked?

Error message: Reinsert the Memory Stick"

The problem is with the memory card. It probably just shorted internally and is no longer useful. The amount of memory is not the problem, as I used a 4GB card for a long time and my card finally went bad. You will just have to get another memory card and MAYBE find someone to be able to retrieve your data.

My Photosmart E327 won't switch on.

Resetting the camera
If your camera does not respond when you press any
buttons, try resetting the camera as follows:
1. Turn off the camera.
2. If you have an optional memory card installed, remove it.
(Although removing an optional memory card is not
necessary for performing the reset, it eliminates the
memory card as a possible cause of the problem.)
3. Remove the batteries from the camera for 5 to 10
seconds.
4. Reinsert the batteries and close the Battery/Memory card
door.
5. After verifying that the camera works without an optional
memory card, turn off the camera and reinsert the card if
you have one.

Car locked displayed and cannot be removed.

Look on the front of your memory card for words that say "lock" and it will usually have an arrow beside it. Move the switch over and reinsert your card. It should be able to read it. Kind of like how a floppy disc has a lock, so does a memory card.
