Hey I have an LG tv that has a blue tint across the whole screen except for maybe a couple spots where it's normal color. I was wondering if that could be from bad backlights or something else. Also the wifi connection will not stay connected and always disconnects the second I try anything. Could that maybe be a bad wifi module? It works off Ethernet only.. and now it's been powering on and off rapidly starting today. It's a LG 43UH6030: 43-inch 4K UHD Smart LED TV I believe. I've never worked on a TV but want to use this one as my project. If someone could reach back it'd be greatly appreciated!! Thanks.
Here is the Board Kit for the set. The switching on and off is likely to be the power supply.
WiFi issue if likely due to interference, where the television is located and a weak signal. Connecting via Ethernet is always preferable.
You can swap boards out and see if it improves the blue tint.

HI Brian, you have a lot going on with your TV. Starting with the blue tint, if you remove the back, look through the holes going to the backlights, see if they look blue, I suspect you have bad backlight strips, we've seen this a number of times where the temp "k" ratings change on the lamps from over heating and they go from cold white to blue-purple tint, one other question on this issue, did the blue tint come on gradually or did it happen all at once? Generally the k ratings change over time, if the set worked ok one day and had the blue tint the next then it's not going to be the backlights that are bad. We've changed hundreds of backlights that had the blue tint over the last few years on LG sets so I suspect that's your issue. As far as wi-fi, if the set gets a signal with a eithernet cable connected that tells that the set can process the input, a couple things come to mind, there will be an antenna coming from the wi-fi card, in a few cases that's came out of the card, and it won't pick up much signal without the antenna, next issue could be the module although they don't fail very often, and last possibility is no B+ coming to the module, you can test for around 5 volts on the B+ rail, I don't know what pin you need to look for but if you don't see at least one with 5 VDC it's not being powered, there is a regulator that supplies the B+ exclusively for the wi-fi card, so the set will work ok other than no wi-fi if this voltage is missing, if it's missing you will need to replace the main board. Now for the last issue of shutting off, when the temp changes on the backlights that will raise the current draw, on this model set there isn't an independent over current-voltage sense for the backlights, if it's to high the entire power board shuts down, I think new lamps will fix a lot of things on this set. Hope this helps!!
