How to change to show right day of week - Watches

when setting in the mode for time ect get to the date and press lower right button or top. it changes from day month or month day

You are very observant! Timex watches don't have a way to adjust the day.
However, if you turn the hands clockwise you will see the day advance.
So, heres the secret, follow exactly:
1. Turn the hands until the day of the week shows the day before. If today is Wednesday then turn the hands until the watch shows Tuesday
2 Adjust the date to the day before. If today is the 17th then adjust it to the 16th
3. Now pull the crown all the out and and advance the hands until the date changes to the correct date, 17 in this example. This happens at midnight. Continue the movement in a clockwise direction for a few more hours and you should see the day change to the correct day.
4. Now continue to move in a clockwise direction until you have the current time. Remember that your date/day changed at midnight so if the current time is after lunch(noon) you must continue past noon to get to the correct time. If you don't do this correctly your date will change every day at noon instead of midnight.

Perhaps the "click" feature is not working. (One of my watches has two positions but doesn't click to the first one, I just know its there!)

Try to position the crown half way to the "click " position and see if you can adjust the day (by turning it anticlockwise).

THE SETTING FOR THE DAYS ARE AUTOMATIC DEPENDING ON THE YEAR YOU FEED. IT MAY SOUND ODD BUT PLEASE CHECK THE YEAR YOU ARE FEEDING I.E IS IT 2010 OR 2011. IF IT IS 2011 THE DAYS WILL BE ONE DAY ADVANCED. IF STILL THE PROBLEM PERSISTS ASK THE RETAILER /COMPANY TO REPLACE THE WATCH, IF IT IS UNDER WARRANTY PERIOD.

first you kepp the day and date set yesterday's , for example today is 31st and monday so you set 30th and sunday , now keep rolling time by key till day and date has complitaly changed,remind that do not roll anty clock, it may be damages to your watch,now when you get change day and date its a midnight of 31st and monday, now set the time and get started ,

Most watches have a stem that you pull out to set the time. The little knob on the end of the stem is called a crown. For a day/date watch, there are two clicks. The first click when you pull out the stem is the day / date setting, the second click sets the time.

When you are on the first click, twisting the crown one direction changes the day of the week; twisting the other direction changes the date. If yours has only the date, it could be either direction depending on the manufacturer.

Switch the watch into 24 hour mode - should be a simple task - while in normal time mode, press one of the buttons other than light, mode or set button - which I'm guessing leaves only one.

I'm guessing that the watch does not show am / pm?

By putting in 24 hour mode, should be easy to get the right day at midnight changeover.

Two clicks to the dial on the right. First click adjusts the day of the month. To change the day of the week pull out to second click and go forward or backward in 'time' and week will follow.

in order to SHUT OFF THE ALARM:

go to the normal time setting, where nothing is flashing. then press and hold reset. then the time you want the alarm on shows up. in order to turn the alarm off press start...press start again to turn it on

Turning it backwards didn't work on my watch. I ended up winding the time ahead several days worth to show the right day of the week (being careful to turn it to the correct 9 o'clock of the day, for me is was the first for morning.) Then I could go ahead and change the date using the first click postition of the stem.

I see that light bulb going off and you whispering "why, of course!"
