I had exactly the same problem with exactly the same dishwasher. The following steps fixed the issue for me:
1. Disconnect the dishwasher from the power socket.
2. Unscrew and detach the control panel.
3. Disconnect the cable between the control panel and the dishwasher's door.
4. Unscrew and remove all PCBs (circuit boards).
5. Clean PCBs with vodka and cotton buds.
6. Assemble everything in reverse order.
7. Reconnect the dishwasher to the power socket.
The dishwasher should be now working.
If your Klarstein dishwasher is cycling through the display options and buttons are unresponsive, it is possible that there is an issue with the control board. Here are a few steps you can take to try and resolve the issue:
If none of these steps resolve the issue, it may be necessary to contact a professional appliance repair service for further assistance.
To activate any of the Dishwasher Options listed, follow
these steps:
Open the dishwasher door far 1. enough to expose the
control panel.
2. Press the On/Off button.
3. Press
the MENU/OK button until the desired option appears in the display window.
4. Press the - or + button to step through the available
option settings.
5. When
the desired setting is shown in the display window, press the MENU/OK button to
save the setting. The display will indicate "Value Stored" and return to the
main
menu. If you did not change the setting, press the start
button to return to the main
menu.
6. Select the desired wash cycle by pressing the - or +
buttons.
7. Press the start button and close the dishwasher door
to begin the cycle.
NOTE: In the Options Step Down Menu, you can
return to the main menu at any time by
pressing the START button.
Wash Cycle Options
Delay Start (model dependent):
This option allows you to delay the start time of your dishwasher up
to 19 hours.
Sanitize:
The Sanitize feature is available only in the Heavy, Auto, Normal and Half Load cycles. Press the
"Sanitize Option" button to activate the Sanitation features during these cycles. The technical sanitation
measures may also improve the drying results. The sanitize LED or The "Water Pipe" symbol will light when sanitation
requirements are met.
Note: The dishwasher automatically defaults to Auto Wash when turned off and back on. If you used the sanitize option
in your last cycle, the dishwasher will default to Auto Wash with the Sanitize option selected when you turn it on.
To achieve proper drying, always use a liquid rinse aid, even if your detergent contains a rinse aid or
drying additive.
Note: The dishwasher indicates low rinse aid by turning on the Refill Rinse Aid indicator LED (for units without
a display) or The "Spray Looking" symbol (for units with a display).
If this light is on, you need to refill the rinse aid dispenser
I got the idea that the "squiggly arrow" has something to do with the sanitize feature also. If you post your model number "on the inside right hand side of your dishwasher door" I'll go get your manual and post the link here. Hope this helps so far! :)
