Now the screen is white. I pulled the battery out and let it dry for 48 hours, is there anyway to fix it after that?

Disassemble the phone and look for corrosion using high-power (> 10x) magnification. Rinse with distilled water and blow it dry. Make sure the connector to the display cable is clean and dry inside. Note: patching corroded circuit traces requires considerable skill at soldering, and a very fine soldering iron tip. Likewise, replacing corroded cell phone components is not a task for rookies.
