Whirlpool dishwasher has stopped heating. Model wdta50sahz0. Element and thermostat both have continuity. I am not seeing a thermal fuse to check. I went ahead and replaced both element and thermostat, but am out of ideas.

Based on the symptoms you described, it's likely that there is an issue with the heating element or thermostat in your Frigidaire dishwasher. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try:
Check the heating element: The heating element is responsible for heating the water during the wash cycle and drying the dishes at the end of the cycle. If the element is faulty, the dishwasher may stop mid-cycle and display the flashing lights you described. Use a multimeter to test the continuity of the heating element. If there is no continuity, the heating element needs to be replaced.
Check the thermostat: The thermostat is a safety device that prevents the dishwasher from overheating. If the thermostat is faulty, it may shut off the heating element prematurely, causing the dishwasher to stop mid-cycle. Test the thermostat using a multimeter. If it's not functioning properly, it needs to be replaced.
Check the control board: If the heating element and thermostat are functioning properly, there may be an issue with the dishwasher's control board. A faulty control board can cause various issues, including the flashing lights you described. If this is the case, you may need to replace the control board.
If you're not comfortable performing these troubleshooting steps yourself, it's best to contact a qualified technician to diagnose and repair the issue.
Check the heat circuit of your dishwasher. This will include your control, heat element, thermostat/thermal fuse, & sometimes your door switch. Check your thermostat/thermal fuse and heat element for continuity first. If all test good, go to your control and possibly your door switch. Check for voltage from your control and continuity of your door switch.Use the VOM. God bless you
Thanks for using FixYa. If the cycle doesn't
complete, then the first thing that should be checked is the Timer and then the
heating element. Timers don't often fail. But if every other part of the
dishwasher seems to be working properly and the timer knob seems to be stuck in
one place--doing one function continuously--the timer may be at fault.
Dishwasher timers can't be repaired. If yours is defective, replace it. Many
dishwashers heat the wash and/or rinse water to a higher temperature, as the
cycle calls for it. In these cycles, the dishwasher pauses after it has filled
with water, waiting for the water to reach the pre-set temperature. What
happens next depends, as follows: On some units, the pause is timed and the
unit continues after the allotted time. On others, the cycle can't continue
until the water reaches the higher temperature. If you have this type of
dishwasher and the water isn't being heated (say, because of a problem with the
heating element or thermostat), after the unit stops at the heating cycle, it
never continues. When you repair the heating-system problem, the "cycle
problem" is fixed too. Please accept the solution if the
issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance.
If your Whirlpool electric dryer
is having trouble heating, you should check all of the thermostats, the
thermal cut-off, all fuses and the electric heating element for
continuity and proper connection.

Hello there Here is a detailed list of things to check to ensure that the element is your problem cause there could be a couple of different things also click on the blue items
If the dry cycle has a problem, check these:Heating elementDrying fanThermostatHeating elementYour dishwasher has an electrical heating element that helps to dry the dishes. If the element is burned out, the dishes won't dry properly, and you need to replace the element. Drying fanMany high-priced dishwashers have a small fan that blows air or heated air into the dishwasher to speed up the drying process. If the fan is defective, you need to replace it.ThermostatSome dishwashers have a thermostat that monitors the drying temperature. If the thermostat is defective, the heating element may not cycle on or off properly. If that's the problem, you need to replace the thermostat Best regards mike
wow, good move with the heating element. most folks don't know about how that relates. if that stuff is good, it must be the timer. or at least the small motor which turns the timer. good luck
