This is Hassan. The problem that you are experiencing is most likely the LCD cable not seated properly. Remove the AC power and the battery from the system. Press and hold the power button for 20 seconds to properly discharge the unit. Remove the hinge cover, and reset the LCD cable attachment.
Attach the AC power and power on the system. Hopefully the LCD display comes up. Just remember to take your time and don't get nervous working on the computer. Please report back to the thread the results of your work.
